Analysis
Things that I want to accentuate in my course:
I would like to accentuate the real-life aspect of this course. I want students to be able to relate what they’re learning to their own lives, and apply this new learning to improve their personal and professional performance. The key piece will be the final product, which will be the personalized “Cognitive Fitness Plan” that each student will create. Problems that I’d like to avoid in my course: I want to be mindful about providing my students with enough content, but not overwhelm them with too much information. I also don’t want them to feel overwhelmed with the neuroscience vocabulary and get turned off. I’d like this to be a fun, yet thought provoking, brain-friendly course. Also, I’ll have to make sure they understand how to engage with the various cognitive fitness tools. The most problematic aspect of my course: The most problematic aspect might be getting all my content online. I have a lot of multi-sensory activities planned, and I plan on implementing collaborative Web 2.0 tools as well. The most time consuming aspect of my course will be: The most time consuming part of this course will be getting everything online, making it accessible and making sure everything is running smoothly. Assessing the activities and giving feedback may also be time consuming. |
